Evyap Products To Be Avaılable In Asean Markets Wıthın Two Years

JOHOr BAHARU, Nov 17 (Bernama) – Evyap Holding , a Turkish-based company, says its products will be available in ASEAN markets within the next two years and upon implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).

Chief Executive Officer Mehmet Evyap said the AEC could boost business sales due to large consumer market.

“we have done a market research but cannot disclose details as it too early,” he added.

He told reports this here after signing a Distributorship Agreement with Nordman and Rassman (NRC), a well-known German company that specialises handling quality chemicals, including fatty acids, at the Tanjung Langsat Industrial Estate in Pasir Gudang here today.

Signing on behalf of NRC was its owner, Datuk Edgar E. Nordmann, while Evyap was represented by Mehmet.

The move to sell products in the ASEAN Market is possible as Evyap already has a manifacturing plant in Tanjung Langsat that can produce 150,000 tonnes of soap noodles, 175,000 tonnes of fractionated fatty acids and some 25,000 tonnes of glycerine annually.

But, in terms of transforming the raw materials into products, it may not be ready as most of the glycerine and fatty acid being produced is exported to various markets.

Only 120,000 tonnes per year of soap noodles is meant for captive use.

Evyap produces among others, soap, liquid care/wash, personal and hygiene care products and cosmetics.

It uses labels as Duru and Arco which are well-known in Turkey, the Middle East and parts of central Europe.

Meanwhile, under the agreement, Evyap through its subsidiary, Evyap Sabun Malaysia (ESM) will appoint NRC as the authorised distributor in Europe.

ESM is set to supply at least five to 19 percent of its raw material and fatty acid to NRC, which will transform it into a wide range of products.
